Smarties Cookies
Ingredients
- 100g butter, softened
- 100g light muscovado sugar
- 1 tbsp golden syrup
- 150g self-raising flour
Method
- Heat oven to 180ºC/fan 160ºC/gas 4.
- Cream the butter and sugar together, then beat in the syrup.
- Stir in the flour and Smarties and work the dough together with your fingers.
- Divide into 14 balls. Place on a baking sheet, well apart to allow for spread. Don’t flatten them.
- Bake for 12 minutes until pale golden brown. Cool on a wire rack.
