Pork Loin Steaks With Caramelised Apple

Serves 4

Ingredients

  • 20g butter
  • 15ml spoon brown sugar
  • 2 granny smith apples, peeled and quartered
  • 4 prime pork loin steaks
  • 60ml crème fraiche
  • sage/thyme
  • salt/pepper

Method

  1. Melt butter and sugar together. Add the apple quarters and cook gently for 5 mins, until the apple is golden and tender. Remove and keep warm.
  2. Fry the pork steaks over a moderate heat for 5-6 mins each side until cooked through.
  3. Stir in the crème fraiche and herbs, season to taste.
  4. Serve with the apples.
