Ingredients
- 200ml milk
- 100ml lukewarm water
- 1 tbsp caster sugar
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 500g strong shite bread flour
- 2 tsp thyme leaves (optional)
- 7g sachet fast action dried yeast
Method
- Mix all the ingredients together in a bread maker
- Run on dough cycle
- Divide the dough into 8 balls and leave to prove again (if you have time)
- Taking the dough balls one at a time, roll flat on an oiled work-surface and fry in a hot pan for 2-3 mins each side until blistered in places.
- Keep pittas warm under a cloth whilst you cook the rest.
