Carbonara

Ingredients

  • 8 rashers bacon, chopped
  • 120g button mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 onion, peeled and sliced
  • 1 clove garlic, peeled and crushed
  • 120g crème fraiche
  • 1 egg
  • 340g pasta

Method

  1. Cook the pasta.
  2. Heat the oil in a frying pan and cook the bacon, onion and garlic and sliced mushrooms.
  3. Beat the egg with the crème fraiche and plenty of black pepper.-
  4. Drain the pasta and return to the pan. Put back on the heat and add the egg mixture. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until it scrambles slightly.
  5. Stir in the bacon mixture and serve with the cheese.
